Road trip* to Nottingham tomorrow

- all packed with only a quick early-morning bake-a-thon left to go. Fresh cookies with a litre of tea - crucial comforts for the journey ahead.

Looking forward to catching up with some dear ol’ friends & their ‘crew’ of not so likeable characters…last time one of them sabotaged a vegan curry I’d cooked by multi-dipping his McShitty nuggets in the communal pot (it’s one thing to dip, but to re-dip multiple times in the pot everyone else is going to be eating from is another). The scene that followed was both hilarious & awkward. More awkward.

On another note, it’s a nice feeling to have my room organised (aside, it’s not organised at all & what I mean is it’s somewhat tidy). From a chaotic festering mess to an abating & innocuous pile of tedious clutter - nothing like progress!

In many respects I’ve been on an excavation of the last 6 years - layer by layer. Lost ramblings & doodlings scrawled on pieces of paper; the discarded remnants of a diary that never was bound.  Haven’t found where my hairline has went though, sadly.

All isn’t lost though - I’ve found a bunch of stuff, including my copy of Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Been ages since I’ve even seen the cover of this, but it’s good timing for tomorrows trip. Inside was sentimental ‘bookmark’ that I thought was long lost, which is a bonus I guess.

It’s the idea that people living close to nature tend to be noble. It’s seeing all those sunsets that does it. You can’t watch a sunset & then go off & set fire to your neighbour’s tepee. Living close to nature is wonderful for your mental health

This has turned out quite the blog post. I best address this to myself in the likelihood I re-read this in 5+ years time….hello future Arron! Bald yet are we?

*Megabus. Minus the hoard of nanas-on-a-mission, please….

In a bid to watch Season 5’s premier, I’m registering on AMC’s website…

with a WalMart’s details in Maryland. Seems to have worked, though the final test will be at 3am…
